I love the idea of food with wine. The two are supposed to create some sort of synergy by adding/intensify/complementing flavors. Sadly that never happens to me. Food makes my wine taste bad. But I had wine with food anyways.

I usually buy vegetarian pizzas, but I haven't had chicken or any sort of meat in a while so I chose this BBQ one. After baking it in the oven for like 10 minutes, the pizza looked scrumptious. The cheese, chucks of chicken, diced onions looked fantastic. I was expecting it to be like the BBQ chicken pizza at Domino's (which I love) but it's not like it at all. This pizza is slightly smoky, kind of mesquite. Overall, it's decent but I'm going to try some other flavors before buying this one again.

As with the wine, the price of it is fantastic! And I got it for free because the cashier forgot to scan it. Thank you. But of course I didn't realize I didn't pay for it until I got home. It's quite acidic and slightly grapey, but other than that, I couldn't really detect any other notes. So I mixed it with some Hansen's soda.

Cheers to free wine and cheaper than delivered pizza!
